About the course

Among the many ways in which the current poly crises is manifesting in our lives are --

numbing of the heart and the mind, dissociation, distraction, busyness, isolation, overstimulation and overwhelm. The pendulum moves fast between numbing and overwhelming. While all of this is happening, as social changemakers we are required to keep showing up, making sense and taking actions towards our causes, all while sometimes being caught into the cycles of our survival strategies.  We are witnessing how engaging from such a state of mind and heart often makes us repeat the very patterns that we want to break at an individual and collective level.
What practices will enable us to create more choices in how we respond, to break the cycle of set patterns?

What are the practices that we need to cultivate for our times?

What ways of being with and in our bodies can strengthen our ability to bounce back, to access resourcing and enliven us to connect to our vitality, creativity and interconnectedness?

In this experiential session we will explore what is somatic resilience for us, what are the ways in which we can access and deepen resilience in our soma while being in practice with each other. We will also explore what resilience is not and question the mainstream narratives of it.

In this body and art based session, we step into a space of cultivating and practising individual and collective resilience; on purpose; towards our shared visions and callings, with an intention for it to deepen preparation and practice for our times.

About the Guides -

Mayuree and Tejal are long time friends and collaborators who have been traveling the paths of healing personal and collective wounds through various modalities and community based practices. These include social change and leadership, body wisdom practices, engaging in stories, poetry and song of the sub-continent, earth based rituals, conscious communication, sustainable and simple living amongst others. We felt the need to initiate the co-creation of a space where more of us could bring our life’s journeys together and sense into our current times.
